The Rocky River Parks & Recreation Foundation has completed the funding thanks to the generous support from the community for the construction of the new pavilion at Rocky River Park.
The new pavilion now offers enhanced gathering opportunities, while also providing a better space to host the summer concert series with a more appropriate and welcoming design.
With the addition of a fireplace, this space will serve residents and park visitors year round.
With over 25,000 visitors annually, this landmark in the city of Rocky River, Rocky River Park features a lakefront beach, large play structure for children, as well as seating to view Lake Erie.
Plans call for the new pavilion to be open in the second quarter of 2020. This project has been initiated by a bequest from a Rocky River resident and his family, individual donors, civic organizations and the annual Rocky River Parks and Recreation Foundation Fall Arts Festival.
The Foundation is grateful for all the community support and It is our goal to give families, individuals and organizations in the city the opportunity to thoroughly enjoy and be proud of this major improvement in this beautiful and popular park.
