The Rocky River Parks & Recreation Foundation is working with the City of Rocky River to sponsor a project to replace the pavilion at Rocky River Park.
This new pavilion will replace the current structure and will offer enhanced dining and gathering opportunities, while also providing a better space to host the summer concert series with a more appropriate amphitheatrical design.
With the addition of a fireplace, this space will be better able to serve residents and park visitors year round. Opportunities are available to individuals, businesses and organizations seeking to help fund this project.
With over 25,000 visitors annually, donors will receive increased exposure by residents and visitors. A popular landmark in the city of Rocky River, Rocky River Park currently features a lakefront beach, large play structure for children, as well as seating to view Lake Erie. Between 300-350 attended each of the 10 concerts during the summer concert series in 2016, presenting valuable marketing and public relationship opportunities for sponsors.
It is anticipated that preliminary work on the pavilion will begin in the Fall 2017, with a plan to finalize the build by Spring 2018. This project has been initiated by a bequest from a Rocky River resident and his family.
The Foundation is actively seeking additional donations to complete this project. It is our goal to give local businesses, individuals and organizations in the city the opportunity to increase their exposure to residents and visitors of this beautiful and popular park by supporting this major improvement for our community.
